Original records or their copies are accessible for research, study, cultural, official, bussines, personal and other purposes in the Archives' reading rooms. Records are accessible in accordance with the Protection of Documents and Archives and Archival Institutions Act, Reading Room Regulations, and the conditions pertaining to the record types and dates of restricted use which are set by the owners of the record groups and collections.

The Great Tolmin Peasant Revolt
This year marks the 300th anniversary of the last large-scale peasant revolt in the Slovenian territory which later came to be known as the Great Tolmin Peasant Revolt. The letter of May 1713 among other things also warns about the danger of the spreading of the revolt which included participation of 750 mayors with their communities. Included in the letter are instructions to the Carniolan provincial governor as to how the revolt was to be suppressed and the news about the founding of a special commission which was to investigate what provoked the revolt and its course.
